Your role:

As a Training Manager, Sales Effectiveness, you will be responsible for leading and owning the training programs and process for the sales organization, including analyzing current needs, creating and updating training curriculum for leaning programs, delivering training programs in a variety of mediums, and ensuring effective and optimized operation of training needs. You will evaluate and report on the results of the training curriculum, run onboarding for new hires, and communicate across departments to create and deliver a training curriculum to meet our adoption, increased capability growth and usage goals. This position will join our Learning & Development team reporting to the Sr. Manager – Learning.

Your responsibilities:

Needs Identification

  • Conduct training needs analysis while connecting with sales leadership and broader HR Learning team

  • Utilize learning journey plans to determine sales training needs and gaps

  • Regularly meet with sales leadership and broader Commercial teams to understand future training needs based on current sales force capability needs

Curriculum Planning

  • Plan and develop sales training and development programs, leveraging knowledge of the effectiveness of various delivery formal and informal learning methods (i.e. classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training,)

  • Select appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play, and computer-based training

  • Develop and curate a repertoire of non-classroom learning programs and tools to meet the on-demand needs of the business and the learner

  • Maintain the training program repository and ensure it remains up to date with the most recent information on Ardent Mills and product offerings

  • Engage with cross-functional leadership, including Product Specialists and Product Managers, to ensure training content is accurate and up to date for their specific area of expertise and product category

Training Delivery

  • Utilize and improve upon the existing learning journey plan to effectively deliver trainings at an appropriate cadence

  • Ensure effective coordination of training and onboarding programs across sales and other relevant teams

  • Deliver or facilitate training, as appropriate, for the sales team according to the defined learning journey

  • Modify or improve trainings as needed based on in the moment and after the fact feedback from Sales team

  • Coordinate training for sales team utilizing other functional teams and subject matter experts

Metrics

  • Develop evaluation methods to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives and facilitator quality; use metrics to improve program content, structure, and facilitation

  • Identify, analyze, and report on key learning and development metrics

  • Benchmark external training programs and best practices, identify trends, evaluate efficacy, and share across the team

  • Collaborate with talent team to understand competency gaps and create solutions to close gaps for sales organization

  • Manage and present an effective sales training budget including an annual impact and return on investment report to the sales leadership

Required Education, Skills & Experience:

  • BA or BS degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 5 years of learning and development experience

  • Demonstrated experience in instructional design, adult learning, needs assessment, and performance measurement

  • Experience in developing project plans for training development and implementation

  • Ability to take initiative; be proactive without waiting for direction; strong sense of personal accountability

  • Ability to present ideas clearly and execute on them

  • Ability to work with and understand a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool, specifically Salesforce

  • Skill in writing proficiency, visual graphics design, and creative talent

  • Skill in cost analysis and budget management

  • Skill in motivating and coaching individuals and influencing across a complex network

  • Skill in facilitation, public speaking and moderating large groups

  • Strong interpersonal skills including relationship-building and collaboration with people from different disciplines

  • Proven analytical and conceptual skills with ability and comfort using data for decision-making

Good to have:

  • First-hand knowledge and experience in the flour milling industry or food services

Travel: Up to 10% based on needs

This role may be based remotely or in our Denver, CO Headquarters. The successful candidate will be expected to commit to a periodic presence in the Denver HQ office, the frequency of which is open to discussion with the hiring manager.

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities and level of experiences. The annualized salary for this position starts at $78,143.10and goes up from there. Our salary ranges are quite broad, and your individual salary will be market competitive based on your unique set of skills and level of experience. Additionally, because we believe that our team members are the reason for our success, we offer all team members (who are not excluded due to their collective bargaining agreement) an opportunity to earn at minimum 5% additional variable incentives based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. Your specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on your role and contributions.
