Position:  Plant clerk

Our plant is looking for a multi-tasking, organized, hardworking and motivated Administrative Clerk. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of the Administrative Manager and should be able to work with minimal supervision.

He should be comfortable with general office operations.

As a Factory Clerk, you will be responsible for accounts payable support and various administrative tasks.

Organize, prioritize, and take charge of multiple tasks at the same time while meeting deadlines. Above all, the successful candidate will be expected to perform all their activities with reliability, integrity and in an efficient manner.

Main Responsibilities :

- Prepare purchase orders and receive goods in the system.

- Analyzes payable to ensure that payments are up to date and indicated delivery times are met.

- Communicate with suppliers and respond to requests for information, request statements of accounts and invoices that are missing or to be corrected depending on the situation.

- Collaborate at the end of month closing (problem invoices, consideration of charges for the period to be closed, etc.)

- Review, classify and match invoices and other administrative documents according to the procedures in force.

- Enter product and bag inventory adjustments as needed in Microsoft GP.

- Daily recycling of product inventories.

- Complete the monthly report of statistical flour millers Canada.

- Place orders for office supplies and manage inventory.

- Writing and posting of Memos as needed.

- Maintain the seniority list of unionized employees and prepare internal correspondence letters to be signed.

- Update of the list of active grievances.

- Manage employees' CHUBB access, manage telephone orders, and maintain contacts with telephone and internet service providers.

- Be the key person in charge of logistics and the smooth running of internal and external corporate events.

- Assist the Administrative Manager in carrying out various tasks as needed.

- Follow up on Health and food safety training for all employees.

- Enter statistics on security observations (SCORE program)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

College diploma in administration or accounting essential or equivalent work experience.

Proficiency in the Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.

Knowledge of Microsoft GP, Jaggaer and office automation would be an asset.

Professional communication skills.

Functional bilingualism required (French and English).

Experience with accounts payable in a manufacturing environment and understanding of basic accounting principles.

Have been used to working with limited supervision.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:

Attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, easy adaptability.

Must have an analytical mind and a sense of priorities.

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable adaptation measures):

Ability to remain seated for long periods of time.

Ability to lift and carry a load of approximately 10 kg.
