As a Mill Utility , you will be responsible for ensuring that Ardent Mills products meet customer requirements at the end of the milling process. Your responsibilities:
Complete all tasks on time provided from your supervisor.
Work in a fast paced ever changing environment.
Assist shift Millers as needed and directed.
Complete inventory and sampling management tasks accurately and on time.
Routine facility sanitation and equipment maintenance.
Specialized sanitation tasks such as clean mill floors, bin cleanings, mill sifters, filter sock changes, spout cleaning, mill purifiers, general aspiration duck work, conveyors, rollstands, working in confined spaces like dust collectors and bins and elevated requiring the use of fall protection and others.
Other particular duties assigned by management.
Basic process maintenance.
Responsible for understanding and following all Business Unit policies and procedures for Safety, Personal conduct, sanitation and good manufacturing practices.
Essential skills and experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Experience using computer tools including email and spreadsheets.
Possess the ability to progress and capably shift mill as needed.
Basic Mechanic skills using hand tools.
Ability to work independently as well as contributing to the team environment.
Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):
Ability to work 12-hour shifts
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to work in a dusty environment and wear respiratory protection.
Able to work in hot and cold conditions.
Able to climb stairs through the workday.
Able to stand through the entire workday.
Other considerations:
Must be willing to accept accountability and work well in a team.
This is a 12hour shift rotation based 36/48 hour work weeks.
Must be willing to get cross-trained in at least one other position for development within the facility and to provide any relief duties as needed.
