Logistics Coordinator

Your role:

As the Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for assisting the merchant and handling the execution of all by-product sales and purchases, including but not limited to: creating sales orders, inventory management, creating schedules, booking and negotiating freight, making arbitrage decisions, and working accounts receivables to meet business goals. This position is the key point of contact with our carriers and a vital link to our customers. You will also be responsible for various projects and continuous process improvements as assigned.

Your responsibilities:

  • Facilitate transportation and logistics for feed ingredients from various locations across the United States.
  • Provide customer service including scheduling, load tracking, and invoicing inquiries.
  • Manage relationships with strategic accounts by anticipating customer needs through intimate knowledge of customer’s business.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Perform accounting and various Accounts Receivables (A/R) duties.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or degree in progress)
  • 2+ Years of Customer Service and/or Logistics experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on details
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multi-task efficiently

Good to have:

  • 2+ Years of Commodity handling experience

Other considerations:

  • This position has an element of after-hours work. It is not consistent, but it is expected that you would be available as needed.
  • Limited travel to visit customers and flour mills.

The strong preference is for this role to be based out of our satellite office in Plymouth, MN and to operate under a hybrid structure of part-time in-office and part-time remote. A full remote work arrangement for a non-local applicant may be considered for the right candidate.

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $26.77 - $35.70, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 5% Annual.
