About the Role

The Enterprise Data Architect works with cross-functionally to align strategic goals for managing data assets with technology solutions that enable those goals. The Enterprise Data Architect will possess a deep understanding of data management and data integration technology to facilitate the design, implementation, and deployment of business solutions.

This role is responsible for the architecture used to manage the data of the organization, via large, complex, and highly visible programs. The architecture responsibilities will span operational data (governance/quality management, source application alignment/conformance, integration) to analytical data needs (ensuring timely availability of that data via data warehousing practices).  Cross functional collaboration, strong stakeholder relationships and the ability to influence is required to ensure implementation of standards and patterns that will enable a reliable source of truth to be consumed by all systems (transactional and analytical).

This role is responsible to keep up to date on current and future IT trends and best practices in data architecture and to mentor, coach, and educate team members on these best practices. This role will also leverage technical knowledge and expertise to develop and innovate technical solutions that meet the needs of the business and IT’s vision.

Your Day to Day 

  • Identify, define, and classify master and transactional data across the enterprise landscape.
  • Define and manage how customer, product, and company data will be stored, consumed, integrated, and managed across the enterprise by different business applications, IT systems, and Users.
  • Apply architectural and technology concepts to address scalability, security, reliability, maintainability, and sharing of enterprise data.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in the development of data standards, data governance, data management, design patterns, and IT best practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Required
    • Minimum 7 years of experience of applied expertise in Data Architecture and Software Engineering methodologies across OLTP and OLAP systems
    • Minimum 7 years of experience in data analysis, data modeling, data profiling, and data optimization of structured and unstructured data
    • Strong understanding of data management & data quality concepts
    • Advanced knowledge of industry best practices in the various aspects of information, technology trends, enterprise operations knowledge and the ability to develop solutions
    • Ability to concisely and clearly articulate ideas, while influencing others through collaboration
    • Minimum 10 years of experience working in applications, integrations, and/or data warehouses executing system changes to support new business processes and business process changes, understanding

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or relevant experience

We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $106,741.94 - $142,367.06, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved. While the specific bonus plan and target amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of contributions, the targeted bonus plan and targeted percentage amount for this role is Bonus - MIP, 15% Annual: Individual Target.
