In the Summer Relief role you will be responsible for back filling full time employees in a variety of positions during the summer months. This is a full time position for the summer season in either a warehouse, packing, milling or elevator position.
We have an anticipated start date of 05/12/2025.

Must possess excellent housekeeping habits keeping the assigned work area clean at all times and ensure that assigned HACCP and GHP requirements are monitored, documented and deficiencies noted and reported
Be knowledgeable of or willing to learn basic food safety / sanitation requirements and accurately maintain sanitation documentation
Must be willing and capable of being cross-trained in multiple other classifications in order to relieve for holidays, vacations and other production staffing needs within the warehouse, packing, mill and elevator department. When relieving the regular operator, must be able to perform all the job duties of the position at the level of the regular operator
Above all you will be expected to carry out all your activities with reliability, integrity, compliance and in a safe, environmentally responsible, and efficient manner.
Your responsibilities:
Learn the functions of either warehouse, packing, mill, or elevator and cross train in order to support the team in a full time capacity for the summer season.
Commitment to producing a quality product.
Provide relief for other operators and following GMP and HACCP requirements. This includes paying special attention to seals, weights, date codes and any other Food Safety requirements.
Essential skills and experience:
Local to Saskatoon
High School degree or equivalent
Possess excellent communication skills. Be committed to service excellence and therefore pay special attention to complying with all policies in regard to Personnel Safety, Food Safety, Final Product Zones and others
Good to have:
Basic mechanical experience, the job will require mechanical adjustments and know how
Looking for candidates who are wanting to return to Ardent in following summers
Be a quick learner that can operate independently quickly after initial training
Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):
This classification does not have regular rotation, the person filling this position could/will be required to fill in as needed which could/will result in irregular shifts and weekend work
May be required to become qualified to drive forklift safely and effectively
Able to lift 30KG and can handle repetitive motion
Work in an environment that is not temperature controlled.
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
